Which is the worst car?
Which? car editor Richard Headland said: “Arthur Daley may have gone out of business, but there are still some pretty dodgy motors out there. We think motorists should steer well clear of these 10 cars which are either unsafe, unreliable, or both.”
It’s got to be said the list is a fairly obvious one, with no less than 4 French cars on it, although the Saxo making the list suprised me, I thought they had all been modded to death by now, still….
The list is
-
Chevrolet Matiz (new)
-
Chrysler Voyager (new)
-
Dodge Caliber (new)
-
Citroen Saxo (1996-2003)
-
Fiat Punto (1999-2006).
-
Peugeot 106 (1996-2003)
-
Rover 200/25 (1995-2005)
-
Citroen Xsara (1997-2004)
-
Renault Megane (1996-2003)
-
Land Rover Freelander (1997-2006)
The scary thing is the newer ones that have such crap safety standards, especially the Voyager (“The Voyager gained a shocking crash-test result, particularly for a family-orientated vehicle.”) and the Caliber, which was only launched here recently.
However, the best quip was landed on the most prestigeous thing to make it onto the list, the Land Rover Freelander – “Has so many problems you would be forgiven for thinking it went on sale before it was finished.”…Ouch!
