Deliver Us From Swedish Furniture Deliver Us From Swedish Furniture

….and lead us into Shenanigans

…and the boys of the NYPD choir

Well I have managed to find myself on foreign shores again, this time I’m in New York to catch up with some friends and do a bit of Xmas shopping. For a change there were no mad panics on the way to the airport and, even more suprisingly, no power-mad immigration oficers that seem to think that everybody that comes to the USA is only doing it because they are planning to blow the place up or, far more importantly, intending to overstay their visa. So I made it through pretty easily, hopped in a cab with my luggage to go and meet a friend at a bar called Pravda just off Houston. The bouncer did give me a funny look as I wheeled my luggage down the tight, steep flight of steps, allowing me to announce my arrival to all with a very cool ‘clunk, clunk, clunk’ before I came round the corner into the main bar, catching my luggage on the door frame and arrived with a trip and an ‘argh’ before finding myself in a heap just inside the door….I am so smooth, suave and debonaire ;-)

Anyway, I’m here, and it feels far more Christmassy here as, rather than the damp and grey we’ve been having in the UK, here it’s cold but dry. So yesterday I put on my scarf and went wandering around Union Square and the Village, until all of a sudden it started to snow and I became a little kid!! I couldn’t help it I just had to run around making angels on the ground….if there had actually been any snow that settled they might not have arrested me, which is why I am writing to you from the asylum. Still I’m looking forward to my next pills and talks with the nice man in a white coat…
