Tap into Carbon Emissions
This whole Live Earth thing is really annoying me. It’s got nothing to do with whether I agree with lowering carbon emmissions or similar it’s just that, well we KNOW! Live Eight was designed to lobby the G8 folk and it was something that wasn’t as well appreciated as global warming (which I can remember talking about at school in the 80s!) and really, if you want to highlight the effects of your carbon footprint on the world, why are you flying lots of rockstars to Wembley and then filling it with 90 000 odd people, all of whom are adding to the footprint. Planting trees etc to make it carbon neutral is all very well but it is basically only spreading the word that it’s still OK to go flying around all over the world….still I should shut up as that is exactly what I like doing!!
Anyway, along with the ”Mega Stars” who will be keeping their Hummers in the drive for the day and arriving by Prius (god don’t get me started on those!) are Spinal Tap, which, under the circumstances, actually seems appropriate!
